Well, that was fun. Thanks for the good times Thailand. Hope to see you again someday. Xoxoox❤️
The jungle treated us well. I didn’t see any snakes. But, then again, I wasn’t looking for them.
It’s the last night on this magical island. So many lizards, birds, butterflies, monkeys and cats. So many strange and scary sounds. So many good stories told and to tell.
I highly recommend making friends. Good friends. The type that let you crash their Thailand trip. Friends like @4rabbott . Today consisted of island hopping, snorkeling, scootering, bat spotting, boating, and swimming in a lagoon. Today also happens to be her birthday. Happy Birthday buddy! Time to go eat some curry.
I gave in. @4rabbott REALLY wanted to ride scooters around the island. I was hesitant. Not because I was worried or scared for me (I have many, many scooter stories and experiences from past lives) it’s just that she had NEVER ridden one. That stressed me out. But she did great! Took direction well, followed my lines. And made it up some nasty climbs. All in all is was a perfect day. (And don’t worry, I told her not to get cocky. Plus our server tonight showed her his wound from crashing last month.)
As we marched through the jungle heading toward the bay I reminded @4rabbott, “You know I have an irrational fear of snakes right? If I see or think I see one, I will run and you will be on your own.”
A rickety plane, broken down boat, and the back of a pickup truck got us here. In other words, the journey to paradise was pretty darn fun.
Last night on the river—time to go find a sandy beach. Or maybe just another pool to jump in. I’ll take whatever.
This beautiful beast may love bananas as much as I do.
Birds, coffee, fruit, sun, adventure, massage, facial, pool, wine, chips, frogs, cats, fish, and more. In summary, a perfect day.
Calling this place home for the next couple of days. If you need me, I’ll be in the pool.
I highly recommend two nights in Bangkok. This is me dancing after an incredible massage, and moments before drinking THE BEST coconut water juice liquid. (Whatever you call the stuff inside the coconut.)
One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster. So, what will happen on the second night?
Today I didn’t even have to use my A.K. (But I did get to ride my snowboard that has a picture of an A.K. on it.) I got to say it was a good day.
Dear Portland, you’ve changed a bit. But then again, so have I. Until next time! ✌️
Today included a sunrise walk, swimming, coffee, a Bloody Mary, delicious breakfasts, (yes, I ate two) sunshine, blue skies, oysters, wine, some loud laughs, nachos, the best of friends, and a new feather duster. In other words, a perfect Sunday.
There was laughing, and crying, and a whole lot of traveling. New foods like, ant larvae, crickets, and stinky tofu. New job, new countries, new continents, new friends. Hard work, lazy days, lakes, beaches, boats, and trains. Swimming, golf, plenty of pedaling, a couple of chin-ups, and an El Camino. 2018 turned out pretty good. 📸 @4rabbott
